Siqua "graduated" to new quarters on December 22 2007. He has cleared half of the garden plot, so we moved his pen to the second half. Later that day, Quiet Bear and Grey Eagle assisted John, Grey Eagle's neighbor, in Siqua's "surgery" (if you have to ask, you probably don't want to know).

It started out as a very cool morning, and Grey Eagle found a fresh road-killed racoon. Quiet Bear learned about skinning small game. He will be fully tanning the hide soon. There is a picture of Quiet Bear at work, but it is graphic. Since skinning small game was something our ancestors did, we wanted to represent it here, but only after warning anyone who might be squeemish. If you are okay with viewing an actual skinning in process, click here.
